Board Meeting Minutes
March 12, 2013
In attendance- Duane Jastremski, President; Grant Sparks, Vice President; Chris Rowland, Treasurer; Alice Aurilio, Secretary; Julie Brown, Member-at-Large and PEHOA Members John Gott and Whip Wilson.
Duane convened the meeting at 7:03 P.M.
Duane thanked Whip for mowing the lower section of the Common Area.
Chris gave an update of dues and special assessment collections- 6 members are delinquent for the 2013 annual dues, 1 member owes the special assessment and 1 member is making payments on the special assessment. As done in the past, any monies not paid by the time of the annual meeting, members' voting privileges will be forfeited. Alice will call the newest realtor having a listing in Plantation Estates to inform her of the outstanding dues plus interest.
The Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at the Common Area. Information and materials will be sent out in April. Please think about volunteering for a position on the board.
Alice commented that members are always welcome to attend board meeting and voice any concerns they may have. It does not mean; however, that the members participate in every matter discussed. If members have an opinion on all issues being discussed, they could better serve the community by volunteering to serve on the board.
Two drafts for proposed revision of Article X (dealing with animals in Plantation Estates) were presented. The board decided to revise the entire Article and not just the section prohibiting poultry. Whip and John presented an additional for inclusion in the section dealing with poultry. The board discussed having members vote on each of the three (3) sections individually- dogs and cats, horses and poultry. Whip said he had checked with a notary at the Bank of America and he could collect votes from members and then after some paperwork, he could present them to the notary for notarization. He said he would get more information on this matter.
Duane adjourned the meeting at 8:09 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Alice C. Aurilio,
PEHOA Secretary
